Statement of Intent
The aims of the Kai Ken Club of Great Britain are:
The club strives to promote, protect and preserve the Kai Ken breed through the advancement of studying, breeding, exhibiting and caring for the Kai Ken. It is the dream of this club to eventually gain recognition of the Kai Ken by the Royal Kennel Club by providing education and support to those interested in getting involved with, owning and breeding the Kai Ken.
The Kai Ken Club of Great Britain, as the founding breed club, seeks to act as representation for the Kai Ken breed. We aim to educate about the health of the breed and encourage the appropriate health testing for the breed as recommended by the club. We strive to respect the original breed club, the Kai Ken Aigokai, to share and breed towards their breed standard. The club hopes to share the history of the breed with accuracy and respect.
At this stage the main aim of the club is to educate and promote our breed, and to act as a point of contact to anyone interested in meeting or owning the Kai Ken.
All those who share a passion for the Kai Ken are welcome to join the club, whether they are an owner, breeder or simply an enthusiast. Membership will remain free until such a time it is necessary to charge a small fee.
The Kai Ken Club of Great Britain is not a rescue, though we hope to assist any Kai in need and ensure they are kept safe and secure.
